     ROAR

She is thin
thin is in!

He is fat
fat's where it's at!

Both on Harley's
roar down the road,
away they go!

Painting is poetry that is seen rather than felt and
poetry is painting that is felt rather than seen.

Mondays Poetry Moment

     I AM . . .

I am that girl
sitting on the beach
in autumn
hair flying around my head,
I brush strands from my face
only to have it whip back around.
I push the long sleeves
of my beige silky knit
oversize sweater up to my elbows
I  pull my legs up in front
of me, bent at the knee
I wrap my arms around
my jean clad legs
just above the rolled up cuffs.
I dig my bare toes
into the sand.
hear the surf.
feel the spray.
sitting there, as I watch the sunset
blaze purple and green
across the sky.

From a certain point onward there is no longer any turning back.
That is the point that must be reached.

Mondays Poetry Moment

     ONE DAY . . .

One day, I will live
above a storefront
in a loft apartment space
my half opened windows, full of
red geraniums in clay pots,
I sit down on the interior
window ledge,
I gaze out on the city,
as day slips into night,
a cool summer rain begins to fall
and cars splash through
puddles down on the street.

Post It Quote/Prompt of the Day

See how this tree bends, twists and turns.  It's lost some major branches but it's still full, green, lush, and growing.  It's different and unique.  The tree reminds us that we are all unique, different and that what makes all of us original and interesting, are our life's experiences.  The tree has a lot of stories to tell about its life in the park.  Just as we all have stories to tell one another about our lives.  Spend some time connecting with strangers that you meet throughout your day.  Say "Hello" to someone that you pass by in your travels.  You never know where that might lead you.
