2011
March *Silver Needles "About Town" Quilt Show: our guild challenge was to depict a favorite poem, saying, verse, or quote in cloth, it didn't have to be a quilt. There were 30 quilts entered in the guild show and all but one, were put on display around town along with their written poems. The locations of the show were: Salina Public Library, Ad Astra Books and Coffee, and The Quilting Bee. March is National Quilting Month, so the guild challenge and the timing were perfect. I was also wrapping up my year as President of the guild and this was a classy way to bring my leadership to a close and give back to the guild. I received lots of positive comments about the show. Everyone seemed to enjoy it!
