CHILD'S BALLOON
an orange balloon
sailed over my house
headed northwest
traveling fast
on an air current
high in the sky
observing a steady flight pattern
strict air traffic control
on its way to some far off destination
only it knows where that is
it made me smile
then a dog began barking
down the street
